Our first product is a motion capture glove specifically designed for animators that need perfect finger position data for movies and games. 

We are looking for a Production Quality Tester who has great attention to detail and is organized. As a member of our QC team, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training to get you up to speed as quickly as possible. 

About you

You have experience in the electronics industry (assembly and testing), or a closely related field. Ideally, you have a formal qualification in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics. You will be based in Auckland and be eager to grow with the role and company.

Day-to-day activities 

  • Quality checks on incoming goods.
  • In-process sampling; inspection and testing of samples.
  • Inspection and testing of all glove components: textile gloves, stretchable sensors, electronics, mechanical components).
  • Manual testing of finished gloves (performance).
  • Collection of testing data and producing written reports.
  • Collaboration with QC team members as well as other teams (Sewing, Production, Electronics, Software, Research and Development).

Responsibilities

  • Finding known faults in components and products.
  • Actively looking for and identifying new failure modes.
  • Assisting the Engineering Team with troubleshooting.
  • Providing feedback to other teams.
  • Strictly following H&S guidelines.

Skills 

  • Confidence and experience using testing equipment (multimeter, microscope, tools).
  • Good electronics knowledge.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Basic to intermediate soldering skills.
  • Ability to quickly adjust to changes and learn new skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow work instructions.
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident working independently once trained.
  • Intermediate experience

Vacancy: Production Worker (NZ)

StretchSense is producing gloves based on soft and stretchy sensor technology for the future of human-machine interaction. Our first product is a motion capture glove specifically designed for animators that need perfect finger data for movies and games.

We are looking for a production assembler to work on all stages of our sensor production line. Your tasks will include preparation, batch production as well as finishing of our soft stretchy sensors. You will work closely with a great team and engineers to help us create our main product. The work you will be doing is detailed and requires a passion for “getting it right”. Your attention to detail is paramount as you help finish of our remarkable sensors and ensure our customers receive the same exciting experience every time. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of components required for producing sensors
  • Assembly of Sensors
  • Quality control and testing of sensors/components
  • Following instruction as per standard operating procedures

Vacancy: Supply Chain Coordinator (Fixed Term – NZ)

Our first product is a motion capture glove specifically designed for animators that need perfect finger data for movies and games.

We are looking for a highly motivated Supply Chain Coordinator who will work in the Operations and Hardware department and report to the Head of Operations and Hardware. This is an 18-month fixed-term position to provide parental leave cover and it has the potential to go to a full-time permanent position depending on the company growth. This is a great opportunity for someone who is a quick learner and looking for challenges.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Liaise with internal & external channels to ensure accurate supply plan, identify & manage any risks to fulfillment with key stakeholders. 
  • Prepare and process planned purchase orders for production components.
  • Proactively manage purchase orders through to delivery, problem-solving as necessary to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Actively follow up on overdue purchase orders with vendors.
  • Ensure components are available at agreed times ahead of planned manufacturing.
  • Ensure current specifications are used, and changes have appropriate approval prior to purchase orders submission.
  • Issue requests for quotes/proposals (RFQ) and select the best source consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Manage finished goods and order fulfillment 
  • Ensure correct documentation available to facilitate imports and exports. 
  • Resolve issues as they arise while the product is being shipped to the customer.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels consistent with targeted inventory goals and DIFOT as set by management.  Completion of month-end tasks to meet business reporting deadlines.
  • Contribute to product design and development, including providing information and recommendations regarding supply chain/logistics consideration in new technology and product developments.

Essential Experiences and Skills
